The EW COVID-19 Autumn Update Zoominar
CAA & ABTA ADDRESSED A RECORD NUMBER OF BUSINESS LEADERS AT ELMAN WALL’S C-19 TRAVEL INDUSTRY UPDATE ON 6 OCTOBER
With over 400 delegates signed up for its Travel Industry C-19 Update Zoominar on 6 October, Elman Wall was delighted to have both Michael Budge, Head of Operations, Aviation and Travel, CAA and John De Vial, Director of Membership and Financial Services, ABTA, address all participant Zoominar registrants. Updates were also delivered by Clive Wratten from the BTA (Business Travel Association) and Joss Croft from UKinbound.
Elman Wall’s regular Travel Industry Updates have proved highly popular with owners and directors of travel businesses across the Travel Industry since the commencement of the C-19 pandemic. The event on 6 October was its 5th such event.
The speaker line-up also included Julia Lo-Bue Said, CEO Advantage Travel Partnership who joined a number of travel business owners to talk about their own ‘Lockdown Stories’, in addition to an array of leading Travel Industry experts across the fields of HR, Law and Trust Accounts. They joined Elman Wall’s own internal accounting, tax, TOMS VAT and M&A experts.
Elman Wall’s sister firm, Summit Advisory, revealing the results of its latest Travel Industry Barometer.
‘When we first launched our Travel Industry C-19 Update Zoominars in April, we never anticipated that there would still be such a strong need for them 6 months later. But faced with the Second Wave, the end of furlough, outstanding questions around RCNs and the looming winter months, the need from travel business owners and directors for information and advice has never been higher’, stated Jonathan Wall, Managing Director, Elman Wall Travel Accountants. ‘And in recognition of the strain that the pandemic continues to put on all business leaders, we have invited the eminent psychologist, Dr Rob Yeung, to speak on Mental Health’, he added.
