Elman Wall’s Fourth Travel Directors’ Summit
We at Elman Wall are hosting our fourth annual Travel Directors’ Summit on Wednesday 8th October and preparations are very much underway. After sending out surveys after the event for the past three years, you spoke, we listened, and because of this, we’re back at Emirates Stadium for a fourth year running. Let me answer a few more questions for you…
What is the Summit?
The conference, which is complimentary and strictly By Invitation Only, is specifically tailored for directors and owners of travel businesses. It tackles topical issues in the Travel Industry, is an outlet for expert knowledge and provides the perfect opportunity for networking. Many of the Elman Wall team are also present and ready to meet you – so why not put a face to a name?
Who are the speakers?
The line-up this year is the best yet. We have some really interesting sessions planned around leadership, entrepreneurship, and issues affecting the Travel Industry. Some keynote speakers include:
Luke Johnson, Britain’s best known venture capitalist and serial entrepreneur who has recently acquired cruise.co.uk and Neilson. He is also known for his involvement in restaurants such as Pizza Express, Strada, Patisserie Valerie and Feng Sushi. Formerly the owner of The Ivy, Luke now runs Risk Capital Partners Ltd, focusing on private equity deals.
Noel Josephides, appointed ABTA Chairman in 2013. He has a vast amount of knowledge and experience in the Travel Industry which he shares and uses to help bring to light the new challenges and changes in the industry. Noel is also Chairman and Founding Partner of Sunvil Holidays and has been awarded many honours in recognition of his dedicated work and expertise.
Dr Rob Yeung, an organisational psychologist and author of over 20 books on leadership, careers and psychology. He is an advisor for many organisations including HSBC, BBC, British Airways and KPMG. He specialises in designing and running assessment centres, interviewing and profiling executives, leadership development, coaching and training.
Libby Purves, BBC Broadcaster, author and journalist. Libby is also patron of the Family Holiday Association, the chosen charity for the Summit.
… and many more. To see the full line up, to date, please click here.
Who else do I need to know about?
Elman Wall are also delighted to inform you that David Bennett ,the Travel Industry’s leading expert on TOMS and all matters travel VAT, is joining Elman Wall on October 1 and will be at the Summit. David, formerly of Deloitte and currently a partner at Saffery Champness brings a wealth of experience and expertise in this very complex and important area which affects almost all travel businesses operating in Europe.
How do I get involved?
This event is strictly By Invitation Only and as the years go on, demand too increases. We regret that, due to such demand, we can only accept one representative per company. If you would like to know more about the Summit and/or wish to attend or register a colleague, please email me at Ann-Marie.Egan@elmanwall.co.uk and I will be in touch.
Elman Wall is very excited about hosting yet another highly rewarding, stimulating and exclusive Summit working ON your business and not merely IN it. Just another way in which we Go Beyond The Numbers, and show that Your Success Is Our Mission.
